TYRE INFORMATION
PILOT POWER: A great all-rounder that
works well on road & track (we use these for our hire
bikes & instructor bikes). Ultra-fast warm-up (very
useful if you don’t have tyre warmers), very good
grip in both wet & dry conditions, and very long-lasting.
PILOT POWER 2CT: Same as the Pilot Power,
but with a softer compound on the edges. This is the tyre
that Colin Edwards tested on his MotoGP bike at Sepang in
Feb 2006. In just 5 laps, Colin managed to get within 8
seconds of his fastest race lap, and was only 2 seconds
off the qualifying time for the same race. Ideal for riders
of all abilities, especially if you don’t want to
mess about with tyre warmers and changing tyres for different
conditions.
POWER RACE: A road-legal race tyre with
multi-compound technology derived from Michelin’s
MotoGP tyres. Available in soft, medium-soft & medium
compounds. A good choice for fast track use.
MICHELIN RACING SLICKS: Available in
various compounds and very durable considering the grip
they offer. Ultra-quick turn-in, and very high levels of
outright grip. The sizes listed above fit all bikes that
use a 120 front and a 180 or 190 rear.
DIABLO CORSA 3: A supersport road tyre
that is good for both road & track use in all weather
conditions.
DRAGON SUPERCORSA PRO: A road-legal race
tyre available in soft & medium compounds. A long-established
favourite for track use, and a good choice for fast riders.
DIABLO SUPERCORSA: The latest development
in the Supercorsa range. A bit pricey, but good for fast
track use.
RACETEC: Very similar characteristics
to a Supercorsa, which is no bad thing.
DIABLO SLICKS: Similar characteristics
to a Supercorsa, but with no tread.
