bike transport . . .

REMEMBER, with Track Sense bike transport you get all risks insurance covering the full value of your bike included free of charge (see below for more info), your bike is transported in a purpose–built steel crate, and we do not damage your bike by cramming other people’s equipment around and on top of your bike.

Terms and conditions apply, click for details.

The main drop off & collection point is our secure depot at Sandy in Bedfordshire – the drop off day for Sandy is normally the Sunday before the event, and the collection day is normally the Sunday after the event. Other collection points are available nationwide (see below for more info), and these collections are usually on Saturday or during the week. You will be advised of the exact bike collection days, times, etc. at least 2 weeks in advance.

Bikes are stored in secured premises in the UK, transported in purpose-built steel crates by professional carriers, and are stored in a locked pit garage overnight at the circuit.

You can transport additional items in the crate with your bike – leathers, boots, helmet, tyres, paddock stands, etc. – please see below for more details.

Door to door collections in the southeast:
The cost for this is £99 per bike, plus £1 per mile based on the round trip mileage from Lightwater in Surrey to the collection address and back to Lightwater again. The collection charge for a pallet or storage tray is £50 – there is no mileage charge for pallets & trays if we are collecting a bike from the same address.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS TRANSPORTED IN THE CRADLE WITH YOUR BIKE: You can transport additional items with your bike if you want to. However, large kit bags, boxes and spare wheels will not normally fit, so it is better to limit what you take and break it down into small packages (for example, 2 small bags is easier to fit in that one large bag). If you decide to transport additional items in the cradle with your bike, we recommend that these items are limited to 2 regular size paddock stands, 1 or 2 small to medium-sized holdalls, and 1 or 2 spare tyres if required (if you need to take more than this, you may need a storage tray or pallet at extra cost). Note that fuel cans are not permitted (a fuel service is available at the track), and we offer a tyre sales & fitting service, and have fully equipped mechanics with tools, oils, brake fluid and some spares etc. at the track, so there is no real need to transport a lot of extra equipment with your bike. Additional items (that is anything transported in the cradle with your bike) are carried your own risk, and we accept no responsibility for their security & safety, or for any damage they may do to your bike. Such items are transported and/or stored entirely at the owner’s request, and entirely at the owner’s risk.

MOTORCYCLE TRANSPORT INSURANCE: Our legal liability for the loss or damage of bikes (and additional items stored in a pallet hired from us) whilst in transit and in store is fully insured. We assume liability for goods in transit under CMR conditions (Carriage of Goods by Road Act 1965) extended, where requested and recorded on the shipping manifest form, to the full value of your bike, and that of additional items if transported in a pallet hired from us, and further extended to cover Act of God and circumstances which we cannot avoid and the consequences of which we are unable to prevent. In the unlikely event of a mishap, the amount of any claim will be based on the actual market value of your bike and any additional items that are transported in pallets hired from us (i.e. your estimated value will not apply unless it represents the actual market value). We will store bikes in secure premises prior to transportation, and whilst awaiting collection in the UK, but WE DO NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY FOR: Additional items transported in the cradle with your bike; bikes transported with ignition keys (you must remove the key); items not properly listed & described on the relevant shipping manifest form; items not properly & clearly labelled with the owner’s name; items not properly & securely packed; bikes and/or items prior to the official/agreed drop off date, and/or after the official/agreed collection date.
