Circuito de Almeria is a relatively new 4.03km (2.5 mile) test track in southern Spain and, since opening in 2001, it has become a popular test facility for many of the major F1, Moto GP, WSB & BSB teams.

Having been designed with Moto GP & F1 testing in mind, the undulating circuit is wide, fast in places, and very challenging. One of the circuit’s major advantages is that it is located within a region that is officially classed as a desert, so the climate is particularly dry even for southern Spain.

The circuit has 13 turns in all (8 rights & 5 lefts), with a 950m long back straight and two demanding and quite technical sections which are very rewarding once you get them right. And the facility has been constructed to a high standard with a large paddock area and plenty of large garages (every garage even has its own toilet & shower!).
